  A cookery show has never been like this! Join our intrepid “Science Chef” as he takes up the challenge of cooking a meal using ingredients selected by his audience, while simultaneously trying to tackle the science behind all things culinary. Watch while he whips up something delicious (hopefully), while touching on subjects ranging from the biology of his ingredients to the psychology of taste.  Sure to be a fast, frenetic, food frenzy. Topics- Food science, nutrition, botany, chemistry, geography and much, much more

Duration-Adaptable 30min- 90 min.

Audience- Adaptable content. keystage 2-4 and even adult.

Playing With Your Food

  A variety of short fun experiments concerning food and drink.  What happens if you hit custard with a hammer?  Why are eggs so eggselently designed? How do you make a balloon kebab?  Find out the answers to these questions and much more. Topics- The process of science, Forces, food science, basic chemistry, basic physics

Duration- Adaptable, 20-50 min

Audience- Keystage 2 and younger.

Taxing Taxonomy

  Become an animal for a day and learn all about your identity and learn about your place in the world and its ecosystems.  A series of games and activity designed to make kids thinks about the variety of life.

Topics; Keys, variation, vertebrates, reptiles, amphibians, fish, mammals, birds, habitats, food chains.

Duration-Adaptable 60 min. Audience- Keystage 2. This workshop is very physical and can be treated like a biologically orientated PE lesson.

Having a disease is not fun. Coughing, sneezing, vomiting and bleeding are generally not good things. But in the past the controversial treatments could be worse than the disease. Join the deranged, time travelling Doctor Death Simon Watt to see if he can ‘cure’ you.

Warning: this show features BLOOD, GUTS, GORE… and a lot more!

Topics- History of medicine, hygiene, anatomy disease.

Duration- 1 hour Audience- Family and schools.  Features animation, puppetry and audience participation
